EXPECTED RELEASES

CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS

STONE BREATH - THE SHEPHERDESS AND THE BONE-WHITE BIRD (2CD + 5" SINGLE/HAND/EYE)  Stone Breath return with their first album in over five years, a visionary creation of Eastern-influenced rural acid folk. From finger picked acoustics to clawhammer banjo excursions, to the side-long exaltation that is 'The Shepherdess Of The Fiery Wheels', Stone Breath manifest their best work to date; an entire set of originals with the strange and beautiful harmonies and instrumentation which graced their past work. This limited edition deluxe box set contains two CD's, a 5" record containing two unreleased songs, full lyrics, illuminated booklet, additional art, and more.

STONE BREATH - THE SHEPHERDESS AND THE BONE-WHITE BIRD (2CD/HAND/EYE)  Standard edition with booklet featuring lyrics, info, and full psychedelic illuminations. This double CD is the expanded version of the vinyl LP with an entire second CD of new songs, in collaboration with 'The Forest Beggars'!

HI-LO AND INBETWEEN - THE LONELY BIRD (CD/BESTE UNDERHALT)  The folk and country rock based act Hi-Lo & In Between, hailing from Finland, creates music that is full of style and atmosphere. The band's sound is spacious and sweet to the ears, and at times the music breathes softly like a whisper. 'The Lonely Bird' is an album that relies on calm moods, but it also has its rocking moments. A sense of longing is present in the unhurried acoustic songs which are harmonic and spacious-sounding but every now and then the band switches to a more powerful mood.

MOTHER OF FIRE - MOTHER OF FIRE (LP/DE STIJL)  Mother Of Fire is inspired by many things. They sound like a krauty throb, with a west-coast impulse, filtered thru post Spacemen sensibilities and fuelled with violin, bass and drum and, all of which makes for a disjointed listen evoking things you've heard before in a completely surprising and fresh way.

EXCITEMENTS - YOU BETTER STOP/FROM NOW ON (7"/PENNIMAN)  First release of this new r&b/soul combo from Barcelona with a great black singer, horn section and all the extra's! On the B-side you'll find a Nathaniel Mayer cover.

Also in the planning is a double LP-set ('When The Night Is Cruel') featuring no less than 29 tracks from the 80s, recorded by MARK LANE. Also coming up are two 4LP wooden box-collections of rare CURRENT 93 recordings, 'Volume 1' and 'Volume 2'. The single LP's will also be available as separate titles. Very nice!

SELECTED PRESS QUOTES

CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS

AMAZING - WAIT FOR A LIGHT TO COME (CD-LP/SUBLIMINAL)  reviewed by Jeff Penczak for Shindig! (excerpt)  ...another round of laidback folk with pop-psych overtones that will easily satisfy fans of Nick Drake, Belle & Sebastian and Scandinavian dream-popsters Dungen and Sigar Ros.

OBSKURIA - BURNING SEA OF GREEN (CD-LP/WORLD IN SOUND)  reviewed by Prikkie for FileUnder (translated excerpt)  A delicious trippy rock album!

BLOWBACK - EIGHT HUNDRED MILES (CD/TRANSUBSTANS)  reviewed by Prikkie for FileUnder (translated excerpt)  Blowback sounds far from renewing, even for stoner-standards, but they manage to deliver a fine diverse portion of music.

UFOMAMMUT - EVE (CD/SUPERNATURALCAT)  reviewed by Zone5300 (translated excerpt)  ...45 minutes of non stop pounding with incidental vocals...

60’s & 70’s & 80’s (RE-)RELEASES AND ARTISTS + OTHER OLDIES

ELDERS - LOOKING FOR THE ANSWER (CD/GEARFAB)  reviewed by DubbelMono for FileUnder (translated excerpt)  It's strange to realise that an album like this would simply have vanished if it wasn't for companies like Gearfab.
