Originally released in mid-April 1977, the album peaked a month later at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Soul chart, and at No. 6 on the Billboard 200. The album includes 'Footsteps In The Dark' as sampled by hip hop artist Ice Cube for his hit 'It Was A Good Day.' The song peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and No. 25 on the 1993 Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Comes on translucent blue coloured vinyl. The album is housed in a gatefold sleeve and includes an insert.
